Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad (formerly known as K & N Kenanga Bhd) is one of the oldest stockbroking companies in Malaysia, incorporated on 6 September, 1973. John Hancock International Holdings Inc. acquired an interest in the company in 1989 and subsequently in 1991, Deutsche Asia Pacific Holdings Pte Ltd. (formerly known as Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Asia Pacific Holdings Pte Ltd) became a shareholder of the company by acquiring the above interest. The holding company of Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad (formerly known as K & N Kenanga Bhd), K & N Kenanga Holdings Bhd, was listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange on 8 October, 1996.
